Bugs Bunny's Christmas Tale
Release date:
1979-11-07
Plot:
Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales features three new Christmas-themed shorts: Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol, Freeze Frame, and Fright Before Christmas; all linked together by brand-new animated bridging sequences starring Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes gang, giving the special a continuous and festive flow.
Name and role:
The Tasmanian Devil falls from a cargo plane and lands accidentally putting on a Santa's suit, Taz takes control of the sleigh near Bugs Bunny's house. Taz, here more of a goofball than a menace, is used almost like a reverse Grinch: he's not trying to steal Christmas, he wants to eat it.
Trivia and other appearances:
We'll see Taz in a similar role again in the December 25, 1993 episode "No Time for Christmas" from the series Taz-Mania.

Daffy Duck's Movie: Fantastic Island
Release date:
1983-08-05
Plot:
Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales, stranded on a deserted island, stumble upon a treasure map that leads them to a talking wishing well. Ever the greedy opportunist, Daffy decides to turn the island into a tourist resort, selling wishes to eager visitors. The guests' wishes are granted through the projection of classic Looney Tunes shorts, cleverly woven into the plot. Meanwhile, pirate Yosemite Sam and his partner Taz are hot on their trail, determined to reclaim the map that once belonged to them.
Name and role:
Taz serves as Sam's deckhand: the muscle behind the madness, doing all the heavy lifting with that classic Tasmanian tornado energy. He hauls cannonballs, smacks crows into next week, and, perhaps most bewildering of all, wears a pair of ridiculous little shorts. Which is... quite a fashion statement for a Tasmanian Devil not known for wearing anything.
Trivia and other appearances:
Oddly enough, Taz is thrown into a setting that's completely outside his usual chaotic wilderness zone: the pirate world. It's a role never repeated, not even in his own series Taz-Mania, where ship decks and eyepatches are notably absent. Even more curious: though Taz has a supporting role in this anthology film, he doesn't get to introduce or feature in any classic short of his own.

Draculee, Draculaa
Release date:
1993-10-29
Plot:
The Warner siblings embark on a journey to their ancestral home in Pennsylvania but mistakenly end up in Transylvania. Seeking shelter, they arrive at Count Dracula's castle, where their zany antics thwart Dracula's attempts to feed on them. The Warners' relentless pranks culminate in Dracula's castle being destroyed
Name and role:
After popping out of a tunnel Bugs-Bunny-style, the kids immediately come face to face with a local creature... or so it seems. From Transylvania to Tazmania isn't exactly a quick hop, but the bear-devil finds himself nose-to-nose with his most dangerous natural predator: Wakko's appetite.
Trivia and other appearances:
The Wolverine/Deadpool-style dynamic between the Warners and Taz gets a proper spotlight in the 1996 episode Cutie and the Beast.

KFC - Mega Meal
Release date:
1994-??-??
Name and role:

Gone with the Windbag
Release date:
1994-11-07
Plot:
Bushwhacker Bob is on edge as he prepares for the arrival of the notorious hotel critic F.H. Leghorn. Mistaking a guest for the critic, Bob's attempts to impress backfire hilariously. The real F.H. Leghorn eventually reveals himself, leading to a comedic twist that leaves Bob and Taz reeling.
Name and role:
F.H. Leghorn, the pompous critic with a monocle full of judgment, couldn't have picked a better time to show up than during the Tasmanian vacation of Foghorn Leghorn himself. Without doubt, one of the worst guests the Hotel Tazmania has ever had the misfortune of hosting.
Trivia and other appearances:
Despite their long, separate careers under the Looney Tunes banner, these two have never shared a short, a gag, or even a single awkward elevator ride. This team-up is as rare as an ACME product that actually works. A true cartoon anomaly.

Superior Duck
Release date:
1996-08-23
Plot:
Daffy stars as "Superior Duck" a superhero determined to do good but constantly sabotaged by an inept narrator who repeatedly botches the introduction. Throughout the short, various Looney Tunes characters make cameos, while Daffy grows increasingly fed up with the narration. By the end, he's had enough, fires the narrator, and vows to save humanity on his own terms.
Name and role:
The final Daffy Duck short directed by Chuck Jones (57 years after his directorial debut) becomes a wild farewell party, filled with a flood of gratuitous Looney Tunes cameos.
There's Taz, who storms into the short with no cue from the narrator whatsoever. He grumbles "duck burger" tries to eat Daffy, then immediately spits him out, declaring raw duck isn't vegetarian. A bizarre moment even by Tasmanian Devil standards, suggesting he was probably going through something in his personal life.
1996-11-09
the Cutie and The Beast
Release date:
1996-11-09
Plot:
Dot Warner plays "Cutie" in a parody of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, with the Tasmanian Devil portraying the Beast. Dot instantly falls for Taz's beastly charm, but when he transforms into a prince, she loses interest, preferring his original wild demeanor.
Name and role:
Taz is literally ambushed by the Warner siblings, who even have a song ready to go for the occasion. Usually in this kind of episode, there's a sort of unspoken rule to play along and not break the illusion. Cameos come in, do their bit, and leave unscathed. But not with the Warners. Nope. They call him out as Taz immediately and proceed to obliterate him with an avalanche of gags.
Trivia and other appearances:
It's not a full-blown appearance, but when Taz starts doing his signature grunts and growls, you can hear a faint snippet of the Taz-Mania theme: his very own '90s cartoon anthem.
1996-11-10
Space Jam
Release date:
1996-11-10
Plot:
Basketball legend Michael Jordan teams up with Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes to win a wild basketball game against alien villains called the Monstars. The aliens stole NBA players' talents, so it's up to Jordan and the Tunes to slam, jam, and bring the chaos. It's sports meets cartoons in the most 90s crossover ever.
Name and role:
Taz, the devil from down under! of course the ToonSquad needs muscle, and he's the closest thing they've got to a Monstar in terms of pure, unfiltered chaos. The Tasmanian Devil makes it into the starting five and stays on the court for most of the game. Probably because he's too dumb to even feel tired.
Trivia and other appearances:
Among all the projects featuring Taz, his crowning achievement is definitely Taz-Mania (1991), the series where he finally takes center stage. There, we see a slightly more talkative Taz juggling family life, and odd jobs.
