Space Jam
Release date:
1996-11-10
Plot:
Basketball legend Michael Jordan teams up with Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes to win a wild basketball game against alien villains called the Monstars. The aliens stole NBA players' talents, so it's up to Jordan and the Tunes to slam, jam, and bring the chaos. It's sports meets cartoons in the most 90s crossover ever.
Name and role:
Lola Bunny makes her grand debut in this film, appearing out of nowhere with a cool "I can play" and a basketball under her arm. And while the Looney-est thing she does here is go full berserk when someone calls her "doll", this marks the beginning of a long and twisty career in the Looney universe.
Trivia and other appearances:
You can also catch Lola in: Tweety's High-Flying Adventure (2000), Baby Looney Tunes (2002), The Looney Tunes Show (2011), where she's reimagined as hilariously scatterbrained and dangerously obsessed with Bugs. Of course in Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021) but also in her own main role movie "Rabbit Run"

Don't ever call me "doll"

Walkers Crisp - Cubix
Release date:
1999-??-??
Name and role:
In this late-1990s UK commercial for Walkers Crisps, the Looney Tunes characters go to absurd lengths to collect special "Cubix" puzzle pieces: 3D blocks included in snack packs. The ad ends on a surprisingly dark note, with all the Looney Tunes (including Lola Bunny in her only TV commercial appearance) trapped inside a dungeon-like cell.

Lola is pretty clearly the lead in this movie. She and Tweety organize the party, take Taz on the egg hunt, and keep the group's morale high throughout.
